Paul is an immensely experienced Senior Commercial Manager and joined Carter Hones Associates in 2018 to establish and grow the commercial and claims management side of the business.

With circa thirty years of international claims experience across a diverse range of large scale projects, Paul has proven himself to be a valuable commercial expert on many projects in the region.  He has been employed in an executive, client-interfacing role, developing and delivering all aspects of commercial/contract management from pre-contractual procurement and budgeting through to day to day post-contractual administration, cost monitoring, risk analysis and project delivery.  Paul is a seasoned Chartered Surveyor and Accredited Mediator, with sound commercial acumen and is able to offer strategic development, negotiation and resolution of contractual claims and disputes.

Paul has over 10 years held senior positions with international cost consultancy firms including Faithful & Gould and Arcadis.  He has successfully managed very large mixed-use projects including the iconic Burj Khalifa, Movenpick Hotel Dubai, Dubai Sports City Sports Stadium, Al Raha Beach Eastern Precincts and the Doha Metro Gold Line. He is currently engaged on another iconic project, the Dubai Expo where he will manage the commercial and claims work for the main pavilion.

 

When Paul isn't assessing complex commercial claims, you might find him swinging wildly at a small black ball in a glass box or on his bicycle tootling along Al Qudra cycle track.
