Having recently joined Carter Hones Associates as the Chief Commercial Officer, Zane is utilising his extensive construction and commercial experience to develop and build an already successful and well respected cost consultancy business within the CHA brand.

Zane's almost 40 years of experience in the construction industry brings a wealth of knowledge to his projects. He is a member of RICS, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and Chartered Institute of Builders, as well as being an accredited RICS Expert Witness and mediator. He has over 18 years experience in the Middle east working on some of the most prestigious projects in the region, the last 8 years being spent at Director level and above. As well as being a cost management and quantity surveying expert he is also proficient in contracts and procurement and has drafted government contracts in Oman and Qatar. Hos experiecne extends across all construction sectors and includes masterplanning, infrastructure, high rise, residential, retail, commercial and hospitality.

Zanes knowledge and experience has come from working with Contractors, Consultants and Clients. His knowledge is transferred to his projects by a very hands on approach, working closely with his project and stakeholder teams. He is experienced in all phases of projects from inception, budget, design, tender construction and handover. And if things don't go according to plan he is proficient at claims evaluation and settlement.

Zanes free time, what little there is, is mostly spent  keeping fit in the gym to get the energy to to entertain his extremely active 6 year old son. His commitments don't give him enough time to enjoy his passions of fishing and clay pigeon shooting but he is ever hopeful that the time will come soon!
