Senior Commercial Manager

We're looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to join our Cost Management team, based across Carter Hones Associates offices in the UAE as well as on site as required.

This is a hands on senior role covering project oversight, team management, and client relationships across Carter Hones Associates active projects, with a clear focus on strengthening the commercial function and developing team capability across the business.

• Manage and coordinate commercial delivery across all department projects including cost plans, BOQs, tender documents, valuations, cost reports and final accounts
• Plan and coordinate resource allocation, identifying shortfalls and delivery risks across the team
• Oversee monthly invoicing and fee management, monitor project profitability, and identify additional service opportunities
• Act as a senior client-facing representative, building trusted relationships and identifying opportunities for repeat business
• Mentor and develop quantity surveyors and cost managers, including preparing a suitable successor for business continuity
• Act as the senior point of escalation for commercial, contractual, resource, client and delivery matters
• Support business development activity, including fee proposals, capability submissions and industry networking
• Review core commercial and QS deliverables including cost estimates, tender evaluations, procurement advice and contractual/claims support

• Construction or Quantity Surveying-related degree
• 10-15 years' relevant experience including consultancy
• Must be currently residing in the UAE, with flexibility to work across UAE offices and project sites
• Strong technical grounding in QS and cost management, with sound knowledge of standard forms of contract
• Proven track record managing client relationships at a senior level
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
